LORD OF VALOR

Nathan was fighting off invaders on the beach when he saw a warrior on a hill about to take on six soldiers in chain mail and helmets. The soldiers were threatening the warrior, but he did not hesitate to fight them all at the same time. Nathan dashed over to aid the brave warrior, and in about twenty minutes of hand to hand combat, the six soldiers were vanquished. Not long after, the invaders were driven back to their boats. Nathan and all the other warriors knew that the invaders wanted to enslave the people and plunder the resources of the Tarot Realm, so the warriors were all motivated to find the strength and courage to fight off a larger force.
As Nathan was recovering from his wounds, he thought about the subtle forces that were influencing his comrades during the battle. As a knight, Nathan was always prepared for conflict, but he had never wondered what subtle forces were giving him the courage to face extremely daunting challenges. Just then, the holy man in the castle came to visit him.
The holy man smiled as he approached Nathan, "Good to see you again, my friend. I am glad to see that you are recovering quickly from the recent conflict."
Nathan smiled. "Good to see you again as well. Thank you for coming to see me."
"My pleasure," the holy man replied.
"While you're here, can I ask you a question?" Nathan asked.
  "Of course, my friend."
"During the battle, we were greatly outnumbered, but the men found the courage to fight them off and drive them away from our land. Some of our soldiers even took on five or six at one time. What gave them the courage to do that?"
"The instinct for combat is strong, but often something higher influences warriors during battle. You all knew that you were there to protect the people and the land. You were there to protect our freedoms and the trees and plants and animals in our realm. Can you think of any subtle forces that might have been influencing you?"
"Well, I know that as warriors, we are guided by Mars, but there seemed to be something more. I remember now that during the battle we were all fighting like lions. Was Leo influencing us as well?"
"Ah, yes, the force of Mars can give you great courage and strength, but the force of Leo can give you something extremely powerful as well. Do you remember the mythological principle associated with Leo?"
Nathan thought hard for a moment. "I'm sorry, I can't remember, perhaps because of the blow to my head."
"No worries, my friend. I'll refresh your memory. The mythological principle of Leo is 'Meeting with the Other Self.'"
"Hmm, the other self. I am not sure what that means."
"Within us, we each have a higher self that connects us with Universal Consciousness, and this higher self sometimes shines through in times of trouble. Some call it the Holy Guardian Angel. In another realm, it is known as the 'daimon.'  In other words, we have within our personal consciousness a kind of angel that inspires us to fight for what is right despite all the odds. Our higher self can give us great strength and courage and power even in the worst circumstances. I suspect, for instance, that many of you were meeting your higher self on the battlefield the other day."
"Yes, I can think of more than a few who certainly were. But another force seemed to be influencing us as well."
"You were there to protect the people and our natural environment, were you not?"
  "Yes, we were."
"Do you remember the mythological principle of Venus?"
"'The Marriage of Heaven and Earth.' So, in our connection with Universal Consciousness we were inspired by the divinity within nature?"
"It's quite possible that many of you gained strength and power from your desire to protect the natural world around us. You knew the invaders had come to plunder our resources. The higher self connects us to the natural world, for all of nature is a manifestation of the Source of Creation. The higher self reveals that everything is connected, and sometimes we see clearly that we need to fight for our brothers and sisters, which includes the trees and plants and animals of this earth."
"I see now why so many were fighting like lions the other day." Nathan smiled and closed his eyes. "Thank you for visiting me."
  "You are welcome, my friend."

Strength: Leo

As Nathan was recovering, he pulled out the Seven of Wands from his Tarot deck. The man on the ridge looked like the brave warrior during the battle. As he gazed at the card, he remembered that the decan association of the Seven of Wands is Mars in Leo, and the Tree of Life correspondence is Venus in Victory, the seventh Emanation. He chose the Seven of Wands as the central card, and he included Strength, which represents Leo, and The Tower, which represents Mars, and The Empress, which represents Venus, as modifying cards.

The Tower: Mars

Later, when Nathan fully recovered, he created an artificial elemental, also known as a living image, with the Tarot Pentagram Spread, using those cards.

The Empress: Venus

First, since Fire is an active element, he used the Active Invoking Pentagram while laying down the foundation cards, starting in the lower right corner of the pentagram, moving to the upper left corner and continuing from there.

Active and Passive Invoking Pentagrams

After he placed all of the cards, he tapped each card in the direction of the Active Invoking Pentagram, making sure to tap the one in the position of Fire in the lower right corner to complete the pentagram.

Foundation Cards with the Seven of Wands

Then he placed the Seven of Wands in the middle of the pentagram, saying, "Seven of Wands, Lord of Valor, Mars in Leo, Venus in Victory," and tapped the card.

Modifying Cards for the Seven of Wands

Then, since Leo is a Fire sign, and the Seven of Wands represents Mars in Leo, Nathan placed Strength as a modifier on the Ace of Wands. As he was tapping the card, he stated, "Strength, Leo, 'Meeting with the Other Self,'" After that, he placed The Tower over Strength and stated, "The Tower, Mars, 'The War at World's End." Then he placed The Empress on The Tower and stated, "The Empress, Venus, The Marriage of Heaven and Earth."

Then Nathan drew the Active Invoking Spirit Pentagram and the spirit wheel in brilliant white above the Seven of Wands on the altar, charging the pentagram and the symbol in the usual way with the Sign of the Enterer. Next, he drew an Invoking Pentagram for Fire directly over the Spirit Pentagram, charging the pentagram and the symbol of Leo in the usual way. At that point, he imagined the symbol of Leo becoming the living image of the Two of Wand, and the warrior came alive as a full-length figure. As Nathan visualized the living image, he imagined that salamanders filled the living image while at the same time tiny points of winged light flowed from his own aura and filled the living image as well.

After gazing at the cards for a moment, he stated, "Lord of Valor, I humbly ask thee to help me to live in my higher self so that I may help my brothers and sisters in the human realm and in the natural world."  Then he ended by saying, "So mote it be!"
From that point on, Nathan often felt a sense of living in his higher self.

Claire with the Queen of Pentacles

ALLIES OF SATURN

As Claire reaches out her hand to touch the golden pentacle, The Queen of Pentacles speaks: "Dear child, radical evil spreads its many branches over the land. Tyranny, greed, bigotry, hypocrisy, cruelty, pride, and lies prevail. This darkness continues to destroy the realm and many lives and is even attempting to kill our beloved Mother Earth."
Claire bowed her head and replied, "What can I do to help, your Majesty?"
"Evil must be dealt with on the spiritual level. Most of the people in our kingdom believe either that radical evil does not exist or that we can deal with it on a political or economic or intellectual level, which only eventually leads to more strife. In order to deal effectively with evil, you must transmute negativity into harmony to neutralize the dark forces. Since you have wonderful music in your heart, dear child, I know that you can also create harmony in our realm. On your path now, you will meet monsters who manifest unbalanced forces. You will also meet allies who will help you master the spiritual energies that neutralize negative forces. Will you join us, child?"
"Yes, your Majesty. I will do what I can," Claire responds.
"You are one of many joining us in this time of crisis to bring spiritual forces into balance. But first Mr. Mellifluous will guide you and introduce you to your allies in the Tarot Realm. In the process, you will also encounter demons and monsters who manifest unbalanced forces, but you will also encounter shining ones who heal and cleanse and bless these unbalanced forces. Someday you too might learn how to neutralize dark forces to create balance. Do you wish to work with us, child?"
"Yes, I do, your Majesty, or at least I would like to try," Claire responds.
"So be it! Mr. Mellifluous and others will guide you along your path. Good luck, dear child!"
"Thank you, your Majesty!" Claire curtsies. Suddenly she is on a beach with Mr. Mellifluous. In front of them is a boy riding on a dragon.

The Hinderers

"This boy and his dragon manifest the unbalanced forces of Saturn," Mr. Mellifluous mutters. "You must remember that they will do everything in their power to scare you and control you and hinder your progress."
"Oh, I know boys can be like that. I don't trust that boy on the dragon. He might seem nice at first, but no doubt he will turn out to be quite unpleasant."
"Yes, unfortunately that is how the hinderers often act. We must meet your allies now."

Ten of Wands: Saturn in Sagittarius

Claire and Mr. Mellifluous continue their journey and find a man carrying ten wands toward a house. Even as he strains to carry his burden and maintain his balance, the man carrying the wands speaks: "If you carry a heavy burden, Saturn helps you to discipline your mind so that you can focus on your goal. With the Fire of spiritual will and the influence of Saturn, you can attain heights that you never imagined possible. If you discipline and focus your mind, the great Archangel Auriel will work with you to transmute negativity into harmony. Auriel blesses even the most negative forces with divine love and harmony and light and wholeness and forgiveness and peace and abundance and joy. With you, she will neutralize them to create and maintain balance in the world."
Claire and Mr. Mellifluous watch silently as the man carries his burden to the house in the distance. Claire begins to view him as a hero who successfully carries a great burden.

Mr. Mellifluous and Claire continue on their journey and find some boys fighting each other with wands. "Oh, my, they are going to hurt each other with those wands!" Claire exclaims.
"They will, no doubt, to some extent, but in the process they will also learn the discipline of Saturn," Mr. Mellifluous.
"Why are you fighting each other so fiercely?" Claire shouts at the boys.
The boy in red replies between gasps for breath, "I am the youngest and the smallest, but I have the spirit of the lion in me, and I manifest the discipline of Saturn, so I can take on older and stronger boys. I know that if you fight for the highest good with a strong spirit, you might win despite all the odds, especially if you manifest the spirit of the lion!" The boy in red suddenly focuses again on the battle.

Seven of Pentacles: Saturn in Taurus

Claire and Mr. Mellifluous continue on their way and soon encounter a young farmer who stands next to a plant heavy with golden pentacles. He looks tired and a little dreamy.
Claire approaches carefully so as not to startle him. "Hello," she says politely. "Your crop of pentacles is quite lovely."
"Why, thank you. I have worked the earth and nurtured this crop. I have planted the seeds and watered them and pulled the weeds and protected the roots and stem and vines and leaves. Now the pentacles are almost ripe. The five-pointed star of each pentacle reveals unity and harmony, both within each living pentacle as well as throughout the cosmos, and each pentacle also contains the seeds of harmony. I have imagined these pentacles and done the work to make sure that their harmony will manifest on the earth, not only for myself but also for others."
Claire replied, "I too have experienced the harmony of the elemental and cosmic energies within the golden pentacles. Thank you, kind farmer. You have such a wonderful connection with the earth, and you have done such a great job making sure that the pentacles flourish and grow!"
"Thank you, I appreciate that," the young farmer replies. As Claire and Mr. Mellifluous continue on their way, the farmer continues to gaze dreamily at his pentacles.

Three of Swords: Saturn in Libra

Suddenly a large heart with three swords thrust through it appears before Claire and Mr. Mellifluous. Rain pours around the heart, but an unexpected sense of harmony reigns in the atmosphere. Very little blood is dripping from the wounded heart.
The heart speaks to them: "Where there is life, there is also death and sorrow and suffering. But there is also an underlying unity of consciousness, which is the root of harmony. Where negativity or lack of balance exists, time can eventually heal the heart, but you can also create harmony and balance for yourself and others. You can cleanse the heart and mind just as the rain cleanses and brings forth new life. By exercising the discipline of Saturn and knowing the underlying unity of consciousness, you can create balance and harmony even while experiencing the harshest experiences that life offers."
Suddenly the heart vanishes in the clouds, and Claire and Mr. Mellifluous continue on their way.

Claire and Mr. Mellifluous wander to the seashore and find a person heading up a steep slope next to the water.
The person speaks: "To create harmony, you need to exercise discipline and use your heart and your spiritual will, but you also need to use your imagination, which is why the moon and Pisces are crucial in the process of creating harmony.
"First, you feel inspiration and then create in your imagination the form that you wish harmony to take in the world. Mercury, who is associated with the intellect, helps you to create harmonious forms in the mind. On one level, Mercury is Saturn operating in the sphere of the human mind. The human mind that creates harmony is like the Source in the act of creation. The human mind contains this god-like power, and sometimes a person, after creating harmony in the world, imagines attaining greater heights to create even greater harmony. That is why I am climbing the hill: I have imagined a greater good."

The World: Saturn

"Do you see what I see?" Mr. Mellifluous suddenly asks Claire.
“I see a lady floating in the clouds surrounded by a wreath. Red ribbons in the shape of the infinity symbol at top and bottom seem to be holding the wreath together. I see the symbols of the four elements. The oval where she floats is clear, as though cleansed of all worries and concerns.”
Mr. Mellifluous responds, “The woman floats in a clear oval shape resembling a mirror. The oval is the ‘sphere of sensation,’ also known as the aura, the subtle energy field that surrounds the physical body. The sphere of sensation contains the ‘world’ that you create through your experiences on this plane as a spiritual, mental, emotional and physical being.
His voice deepens, “Gazing into the mirror of ‘The World,’ you are faced with a choice: Cling to the lower self or rise up and experience regeneration. The symbols of the elements, the bull, the eagle, the man, and the lion, which represent the four ‘elements of the wise’ and the four dimensions of the self, reveal that this process is about the regeneration of all levels of your being so that you experience and manifest harmony."
Suddenly the woman speaks: "I am Auriel, the Archangel of the element of Earth. If you are ever facing evil, child, you can call on me to bless and neutralize the dark forces with divine love and harmony and light and wholeness and peace and abundance and joy. Do not fear the dark forces. Do not yell or curse or fight them, for they feed on fear and conflict, which makes them stronger. You must neutralize them with love and harmony. I will support you whenever you need me, dear child."

LORD OF PRUDENCE

As Nathan was riding home, he noticed a man creating pentacles near the castle. Nathan admired his work but felt slightly frustrated and a little angry because this man was only making symbols of spiritual harmony, not creating harmony through righteous action--even though much conflict and lawlessness and poverty still existed in the realm. After being wounded in battle, Nathan couldn't help but feel that not enough people were working to maintain harmony and balance and order, which made the few who did much more vulnerable.

King of Pentacles

Nathan came upon the King of Pentacles near the castle. Nathan dismounted and bowed before the King. "I serve thee always, great King, but I have a question."
The King responded, "Yes, dear knight, what is your question?"
"I just witnessed an artisan creating golden pentacles in the street near the castle. His work is beautiful, but why create art when so many problems plague the realm, such as poverty and lawlessness and war? Wouldn't it be better if he got involved with us to end the disorder and create harmony through his actions instead of through his art?"
"So you encountered the Royal Pentacle Maker? He helps to create harmony in the realm as chaos swirls around us, which it inevitably does sometimes. We cannot keep power-hungry people in other realms from trying to invade and plunder our realm. We can only defend ourselves and drive them back. Knights and soldiers are trained to do that noble work. The Royal Pentacle Maker performs his own noble task. He works tirelessly to create pentacles for the members of our community. Each person is given a pentacle, and if anyone experiences misfortune or disease, he or she can exchange the golden pentacle for money, which itself is a form of positive energy if used wisely. That is one way of maintaining harmony in our realm.
"But even if they are destitute, some people choose not to convert their pentacle into money because the pentacle contains a power that I am sure you have experienced to some degree. The pentacle contains all the powers of the sacred Tree of Life. Touching the pentacle enables you to feel the five subtle elements, four of which, Earth, Air, Water, and Fire, are associated with the twelve zodiac signs and their ruling planets. And of course there is the fifth element of Aether, or Spirit, which unites all of the elements. Like a magician, our Royal Pentacle Maker charges each pentacle with the energies of the Tree of Life so that each individual can feel how his or her personal consciousness is embedded in Universal Consciousness. Almost everyone who touches one of the pentacles feels the oneness and divinity of creation to some degree. But of course there are the lawless types who don't feel any connection with other people or creation when they hold a pentacle. They only want power and money for themselves, and they will harm anyone who gets in their way.

The Magician: Mercury

"Only someone who has experienced chaos and disorder can truly dedicate his life to the creation of harmony. He knows the value of prudence, which some believe is a kind of 'stodginess,' but which actually means foresight and discretion and deep knowledge of the self and the world. So you see that some people work on the spiritual level to create and maintain harmony within the realm, while others, like you, act primarily on the physical level to maintain peace and order and balance. Both are important. Of course, the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual levels are also involved in what you both do in your work to different degrees. The Royal Pentacle Maker is influenced by Mercury, like the magician who manifests the energies of the Tree of Life within the Kingdom. In other words, he manifests the harmony of Spirit within our realm through his pentacles. Remember that Spirit unites all the levels of being together, not only within each individual, but also throughout the cosmos."

The Hermit: Virgo

Nathan bowed and thanked the King and rode away to a secluded place in the forest where he could perform a ritual. Nathan chose The Eight of Pentacles, a card remarkably similar to what he had witnessed, which represents The Sun in Virgo and Mercury in Splendor, the eighth Emanation on the Tree of Life. Nathan chose The Hermit, which represents Virgo, as one modifying card. The holy man in the castle had revealed that like the pentagram, the hexagram also represents the basic elements of Earth, Air, Water, and Fire, as well as the corresponding zodiac signs and their ruling planets, in other words, all of the energies of the Tree of Life, which itself reveals the dimensions of Universal Consciousness: the hexagram in The Hermit's lantern lights his way. The Hermit, the holy man said, represents the mythological principle known as "The Wilderness Journey," which is a journey that holy men take in order to separate themselves from society and experience the archetypal energies of the Tree of Life. The Hermit, as he attains the spiritual heights, reveals the archetypal energies while The Magician, associated with Mercury, manifests the subtle forces of the Tree of Life within the Kingdom, the realm of physical life. The God Mercury, like the Egyptian God Thoth, is associated with "The Creation of the World," which is the mythological principle associated with The Magician in Path 12. Within the Tarot Pentagram Spread that he had chosen, Nathan realized, The Sun, with the light of harmonizing love and sacrifice, associated with the mythological principle "The Awakening of the Mind," illuminates all the paths of the Tree of Life, which is appropriate since The Sun is positioned in the center of the hexagram and is also associated with the center of equilibrium on the Tree, the Emanation known as Beauty.

Foundation Cards with the Magician

For his ritual, Nathan chose The Magician as the central card, because it symbolizes the manifestation of harmony through the acts of creation that occur in every moment. Since Earth is a passive element, Nathan used the Passive Invoking Spirit Pentagram while laying down the foundation cards, the Aces and Judgement, starting in the lower left corner of the pentagram, moving to the upper right corner and continuing from there. After he placed all of the cards, he tapped each card in the direction of the Passive Invoking Spirit Pentagram, making sure to tap the one in the lower left corner to complete the pentagram. Then he placed The Magician in the middle of the pentagram and tapped the card, saying, "The Magician, Mercury, The Creation of the World." Then he placed the modifiers, The Hermit and The Sun, on the Ace of Pentacles in the lower left hand corner of the pentagram.

Then he drew the Passive Invoking Spirit Pentagram and the spirit wheel in the air in brilliant white above The Magician on the altar, charging the pentagram and the spirit wheel in the usual way with the Sign of the Enterer. After that, he drew an Invoking Pentagram for Earth directly over the Invoking Spirit Pentagram, charging the pentagram and the symbol of Taurus in the usual way. At that point, he imagined the symbol of the bull's head becoming the living image of The Magician. Then he imagined gnomes flowing from the Archangel Auriel and filling the living image while at the same time the bright points of the Earth element flowed from his aura and filled the living image as well.
Then he said, "I name you The Magician, Mercury."
Then he said, "Great Mercury, help me to manifest the energies of the Tree of Life to create harmony in every moment, both in myself and in the realm."
Then he stated, "Perform this task until I have succeeded in mastering this ability, doing no harm. So mote it be!"
He imagined for a few minutes the living image of The Magician filling him with the energies of the Tree of Life and the ability to manifest harmony and balance in the realm for the highest possible good. He, of course, performed the Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram before he completed the ritual.
Afterwards, Nathan felt like he was successfully manifesting the energies of the paths of the Tree of Life for greater harmony and balance in himself and in the realm.

Judgement: The Element of Fire
4magus
00:00 / 04:42

ALLIES OF JUDGEMENT

"This path represents the element of Fire," Mr. Mellifluous states as they both gaze at the Archangel Gabriel.
"I have met Gabriel before, but I'm not sure what this 'Judgement' is all about," Claire responds.
“‘Change your mind and change your life’ is a popular saying these days. The enlightened of past ages knew that ‘changing the mind’ is no easy task and referred to the process of change and personal regeneration as the ‘Great Work.’ Keenly aware that family and social institutions instill beliefs that become nearly intractable, the ancients knew that individuals who struggle to move beyond the prevailing group consciousness always risk subtle or overt forms of disapproval. Nevertheless, people continue to be struck by lightning every day. We cannot, in other words, totally ignore our spiritual nature. Some people, struck often enough, feel compelled to strive for greater spiritual clarity and awareness. Moving beyond limiting social belief systems, however, requires intelligence, courage, and will power, especially since the spiritual journey moves progressively into more formless, abstract realms. The individual, by himself, might know that a greater awareness is possible but might choose not to work for it, on the one hand because he cannot find anything concrete to grasp, but he can, on the other hand, easily grasp the social risks.”
“So does this 'Judgement' help us to understand?”
“Yes, indeed. Because the human mind has difficulty comprehending the purely abstract, this realm reveals concrete archetypes and symbols that function as bridges to formless spiritual realms. Symbols and archetypes enable the traveler to voyage out into the unknown and come back with knowledge of spiritual principle. This realm also has the advantage of being more open to interpretation. What we encounter often appears harmlessly archaic or simply innocuous and tends to pose little or no threat to the group mind. The individual privately can personally discover meanings through meditation and ritual. If one studies the religious pantheons of all cultures and ages, one is struck by the similarity of the gods and goddesses and the symbols, which have universal meanings that the individual can grasp and apply to his own circumstances with a little effort. The figures of Osiris, Apollo and Dionysus, and Jesus, archetypes of the cosmic Christ force, can all have a profound impact on an individual whose mind is open to the forces behind the symbols.”
“Do these spiritual energies continue to exist within us always because that is how we are made?”
“Yes, indeed.” Mr. Mellifluous smiles. “Some modern traditions tend to treat the use of symbols and archetypes as superstition, or, at best, as unnecessary, preferring to rely on what is considered more direct approaches, such as prayer, affirmation, or treatment. There, of course, is nothing wrong with these approaches. However, they do not suit everyone. Moreover, one very important element is often overlooked in modern traditions: archetypal energy is a basic and extremely powerful form of cosmic energy within Universal Consciousness, and it is an important aspect of the 'collective unconscious' that connects all of us together. The symbols and archetypes, which exist 'objectively' on the plane of the collective unconscious, can be accessed through the individual subconscious. We should learn from the East, which has created many types of yoga to enable the individual to choose what is suitable to his temperament. It is often easier to approach the Universal Mind by engaging the individual mind with symbols. Otherwise the mind might remain overawed by something that by its very nature often remains incomprehensible to the human brain."
“You mean this path is just one of many paths?" Claire asks.
“Yes, but it is a path uniquely suited to the minds of many people. The 'Yoga of the West' uses the composite symbol of the Tree of Life as an archetypal map of the inner planes, with twenty-two paths between ten objective dimensions of existence. When an individual hears the call to begin the quest, finding a channel from the individual subconscious to the collective subconscious, the magical journey of regeneration on the Tree of Life commences, and travelers like us encounter paths on the Tree, each with archetypes that open our understanding of the subtle realms. The same archetypes in different forms can also be found in many other religions, as I suggested earlier. Since the symbols are so rooted in the collective subconscious, meditation on the paths of the Tree can lead to an expansion of individual spiritual consciousness.”
“The Pentacles, Swords, Cups, and Wands are associated with those levels. Is that right?”
“That is correct. ‘As above, so below,’ an ancient axiom, suggests that human beings, formed in God's image, contains the same energies that permeate the cosmos: the drop separated from the ocean still contains all of the properties of the ocean, in other words. The traveler on the inner pathways of the Tree of Life is functioning primarily in the archetypal realm, not in the realm of time. Remember that the archetypes include geometric symbols as well as figures that represent specialized forces both within the cosmos and the human being. In this realm we recognize them as the forces behind the diverse manifestations within nature. Since the same energies exist within human beings, correspondences exist. Humans can know the forces as separate from each other--extremely powerful but capable of connecting with the human mind since the same divine energy exists within us."
“So old religions with gods and goddesses enabled people to know the same spiritual forces?"
“Yes, in the sense that light from the sun is refracted through a prism, revealing rainbow colors that we perceive. I would argue, though, that our path is not a religion; it is a method of using the mind, the ultimate goal being union with the Source."
Suddenly the Archangel Gabriel speaks even as the Archangel continues to make music with the trumpet: “As you gaze at me, you can hear the call to greater life. I announced the immaculate conception to the Virgin Mary and now blow the trumpet of the Last Judgement. Men, women, and children rise from their tombs in the moment of resurrection. They rise in their subtle bodies and hear the call with their soul.
“The rebirth they experience is also an immaculate conception. They are reborn from the ‘lower’ self into the higher self in an ecstasy of truth. Hearing the call of the higher self, they examine their conscience and question what they have believed and valued. They are called to examine outside expectations and to question all conventional wisdom that has entombed their life. The higher self is a state of awareness that knows the truth and cannot lie. They conduct a thorough self-evaluation with the courage to bring about regeneration and growth. You must seriously examine your soul to determine if you are ready to do that.”
“I am ready, great Archangel Gabriel,” Claire responds.
"So then, imagine taking the hand of the great jackal-headed God Anubis and entering a cave, where there is barely enough light to see as you proceed deeper and deeper into the earth. The God guides you into a fire that does not burn your flesh. Instead, it consumes the negative energies of your subtle body, the black energy flowing down into the magma under the surface of the earth. Anubis pulls you from the fire and again you are whole.
“Peer into the waters of the subconscious. Hear the call to rise above whatever is limiting you or interfering with your spiritual growth. As you look into the waters, you see a subtle body, which holds the wheels of energy known as chakras. You are going to cleanse each wheel of energy, or chakra, mentally with an imaginary white cloth and pure water. Whatever is negative in each chakra, you will wipe away with the cloth. Sometimes you will need to continue wiping the chakra until it remains clear. Sometimes you will find something that in your imagination you will need to pull out of the chakra. You might discover a message of some kind. Whatever you find, ask yourself what it means. Usually your higher self, through your subconscious, will immediately communicate its significance to you.
“Cleanse your primary chakra system; each chakra contains more than one color, but the subconscious mind identifies one basic color with each chakra. So begin by visualizing the root chakra as a turning, red wine glass or a red wheel. Imagine wiping it out with the damp, white cloth.
“Make a mental note of whatever you encounter within each chakra because the higher self in your subconscious mind is communicating with you. The next chakra, in the general area of the navel, is orange. Again, envision the chakra as a turning glass or wheel. Wipe out any impurities. Repeat the same process for the solar plexus chakra (between the navel and the heart), which is yellow. Keep cleansing yourself mentally:

   The heart chakra is green.
  The throat chakra, blue.
The third-eye chakra (middle of forehead): violet.
The crown chakra (top of head): brilliant white.

“This process will not always be easy. You might have to face thorny or repressed aspects of the self. You might ‘see’ that your energy system is out of balance or blocked in some way. You might remember unpleasant experiences from your past, but remember also that you are only judging yourself now to identify what interferes with greater spiritual awareness. The subconscious mind of the average person contains a fair share of junk, guilt, strange entities, and a few monsters. The element of Fire and the Hebrew letter 'shin,' which means tooth, or tooth of fire, are both associated with this path. Whatever you cannot wipe clean, you will mentally burn away or drain into the earth's core, to be purified by the fire below the earth's mantle.
“You may find that forgiveness is an important aspect of the cleansing process. Forgive everyone who has harmed you. You can imagine a cup in front of you on a table and envision negative emotions leaving your body and going into the cup, where they drain into the earth. If you feel that you need to be forgiven, call the negative energy from the person that you harmed back to you, channeling it into the cup and draining it also into the earth. See it purified by the heat of the magma.
“You will know when you are making progress if you begin to have visions of spiritual symbols because you have cleared the way for the higher self to communicate with your waking mind using the picture language of the subconscious mind. You might also hear a voice or music, just as you are hearing my voice and music now.”

"Notice the white flag attached to the trumpet. On the flag is a red cross, which you may recognize as a symbol of compassion. Imagine the fire of compassion blowing into you until your subtle body is white and no impurities remain.
“You are light, and you know that the light is in everything and everyone. If you feel negative emotions again because of some event in your life, which is bound to happen as you grow older, don't judge yourself critically. You can always cleanse yourself again.”
